Who we are
Averolt is a software studio. We build custom software, AI agents, automation, DevOps solutions and product support for founders and teams.
This page covers the public website only. When we work together, the project agreement covers the work itself and anything we handle inside it.
Averolt is run by its two founders, Khawar Hussain and Jahanzaib Ramzan, from Lahore, Pakistan. It is not a registered company yet, so the two founders are responsible for the information this site collects. In data protection law that makes them its controller. Email hello@averolt.com about anything on this page, including any of the requests described below, and a person will answer.
What you send us
Send a brief and Book a call collect what you type: your name, your email address, your message and the options you pick. The project brief template page has a third, optional form that asks only for an email address, so we can send you the template. Nothing else is taken from you in the background, and the template itself downloads without a form at all.
That message travels over an encrypted connection and arrives in our team's Slack workspace. Slack holds it there as our processor, under its own terms. This website stores no copy of its own. There is no database behind it.
Before the form sends, a Cloudflare Turnstile check runs to keep automated submissions out. Cloudflare sees your IP address to do that check. An IP address counts as information about you, so it is worth being plain: we run that check because a public form without one fills with junk until it is useless, and we have no gentler way to stop that.
We handle enquiries because you asked us to get in touch and we have a genuine interest in replying, which is usually also the first step towards working together. That is why the forms do not ask for your consent: you have already chosen to write to us. An address left on the template page is used to send you the template and to answer you if you ask something. It is not added to a mailing list, because we do not run one. If we ever start one, we will ask you separately rather than assume.
Counting visits
We count visits so we can see which pages people actually read. Cloudflare does that with a small script it adds to this site as it is served. The script sets no cookies and builds no profile of you: it records the page, where you arrived from, roughly where in the world you are, and how quickly the page loaded. None of that lets us pick you out, so we do not ask your permission for it.
Google Analytics is different, so we treat it differently. It sets cookies and collects more: the pages you view, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, and your device and browser. It runs only if you choose to allow it in the banner. Say no, or say nothing at all, and it never loads: no cookies, no request to Google.
We use Google Analytics to understand pages, not to advertise to you. Its advertising and personalisation features stay switched off, and we have not linked it to any ad account.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we take that as a no and never show you the banner.
Your browser may also store ordinary technical things such as a language or a scroll position. We do not use those to identify you, and nothing on this site needs cookies to render.
Who else sees your information
For this website, three companies are involved and no others. Slack receives your enquiry so our team can read and answer it. Cloudflare serves this website, adds the counting script and runs the check that keeps automated submissions out. Google receives analytics events, and only if you allowed them. If we then reply to you, your message also passes through our email provider, in the ordinary way that email works.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not hand it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Averolt works globally and so do these providers, so your information may be handled outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where it leaves the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the transfer rests on the standard contractual clauses those providers sign up to, and on the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified under it. Ask us and we will point you at the exact terms.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while we are in conversation with you, and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can pick up a thread that goes quiet. Our Slack workspace has its own retention setting and may remove it sooner than that. Ask us to delete it at any point and we will.
Google Analytics data is set to expire after 14 months. Cloudflare's visit counts are aggregated and hold nothing that identifies you.
Your choices and your rights
You can close a brief at any time before you send it. You can refuse Google Analytics in the banner, and you can change your mind whenever you like: the button below reopens the choice, and switching it off takes effect straight away.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. You can also ask us to send it on to someone else. Email hello@averolt.com and we will answer within 30 days.
You can also object to us holding your enquiry at all. We keep it because replying to you is a genuine interest of ours rather than something you consented to, and that gives you the right to tell us to stop, for whatever reason matters to you. Say so and we stop, unless we have a compelling reason not to. For an enquiry, we almost never will.
You never have to give us a reason, and asking costs you nothing. If you are not happy with how we answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
What we do not collect here
We do not ask for payment details on this site. There is no account to create and nothing to log into.
The contact page publishes an email address so you can reach us directly. Anything you send there arrives as an ordinary email and is not touched by this website.
This site is for people making business enquiries. We do not aim it at children and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.
Nothing here makes automated decisions about you. We build no profile, assign no score, and nothing you see changes based on who we might think you are.
When this page changes
We update this page whenever what we actually do changes, and the date at the top always says when that last happened.
If a change affects you rather than being a matter of wording, we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing the text.
